Using a combination of ultrasound scanning wands to capture multi-axis pictures, it is possible to render three-dimensional images of your unborn baby. Once the computer gathers the data, special software transforms the two-dimensional information into 3-D images. These images can be colorized, rotated, and scaled. A skilled sonographer, acting much like a digital sculptor, is able to bring the rough data to life, removing layers of scanned information to reveal subtle details hidden within the 3-D image. |
